Not specifically parenting, but a great tip anyway, to keep you out of trouble!
Visit your local florist (no, not the BP garage at the end of the road) and pay up front for a few bunches of flowers. Tell them to send them randomly to your partner throughout the coming months and just send you a text message when they're about to do so.
Then sit back and watch the appreciation roll in!
