Britain's class system – and salaries – inherited from fathers (Guardian 12th Feb 2010)

Fathers struggling to balance work and family - EHRC report out today. What do you think??

Many British fathers are working long hours, struggling to balance work and family and fear that requesting flexible working will damage their careers, a new report from the Equality and Human Rights Commission has found.

Stranded passer by: "Quiet in here today - where is everyone?"

Small group of workers (chorus): "Not here. Anyway, it's quality, not quantity."

Let’s face it, the childhood chant of, 'I'm bored!' soon dampens even the greatest resolve. School holidays are a mixture of excitement and trepidation, for parents and children alike. But if you think about it, in the grand scheme of things, there aren't going to be many chances to enjoy holidays with your kids before they are grown up. There isn't an endless supply of time to build those important memories before they have left home and have children of their own. And there aren't going to be… Continue
