For the travelling dad

Record on MP3 or other similar recording device a number of 3-4 minute sound bites - tell the kids where you are going on what particular day, read stories, poetry, silly songs - anything that can provide amusement for a few minutes a day for your kids when you are away. If desired it can become the ‘treat’ once kids are fed, watered, washed & dressed etc ready for school - this way, even though physically absent, you are still able to contribute to the rhythm of family life.
